Finland's largest indoor handball tournament opens up again November 12th 2010 in Vantaa

Helsinge Atlas is the organizing club (in co-operation with Aktia Bank) for Finland's largest indoor handball tournament played every year at Father's Day weekend in Myyrmäki. This year the event takes place between 12th-14th November 2010. Myyrmäki is a nice western township of Vantaa City and has lots to offer for sports fans. Vantaa ("The Airport City") is also easily accessible via Helsinki ferry terminals less than 25 km away.
This traditional late autumn tournament is organized now for the 18th time. It regularly attracts also numerous foreign teams from Scandinavia and the Baltic States. Normal attendance is around 150-160 teams competing in 20 different age categories. Games are played in 3 different locations which are conveniently close to each other. Main games arena is the spacious Myyrmäki Hall known for it's various indoor sports activities (football, handball) and Exhibitions / Trade Fairs. Other sites are Myyrmäki Sports Hall (the home base of the organizing club Atlas) and the sport facilities at nearby Varia College.
